Spanish competition (8-12 july) 2009

Hola a todos!!! The last 8 july was held the spanish national Kiteboarding competition in Lanzarote (islas canarias), all the riders reunited in lanzarote were for the first time  a wave competition was held in spain.It was registered the highest participation of riders in a nacional competition a total of 84 riders from all over spain; a positive surprise showing the strong evolution of kiteboarding.
The first day the competition kicked off with wave riding where all the riders gave the best of themselves and had a great time.

The second day was held the freestyle single elimination and the first heat of racing, Olga Tur took the first place in the single womans elimination, and for the single men elimination Cesar Portas took first place.

The following days we continued with the double elimination, and we finish the wave riding and race.

The last they (12 july) was very intense because there was the final of the double elimination and the wave riding, and so the riders were all the time in the water.

This event was ranked as the best spanish competition as of now. I really enjoyed this experience, the spot was ideal and overall there was a great vibe between all riders.

I had the 4th place in freestyle, 5th in wave riding, 9th in race and 7th in the overall ranking, so i´am very happy and motivated to keep improving and participate in the next competitions.
