Boost: What is the feeling like when you hear of such a great succes?

I was super happy but there is always a small part of yourself that say you can always do better, with a 2nd place your so close but still so far away of that 1ste place.

Boost: What is the reason for your success ? Is it only hard training ?

This year I trained really hard, and my injury made me stronger as well, hopefully this year i can even do 1 step higher.

Boost: Have you got a personal coach ?

Nope I train al by myself.

Boost: You and Kevin are the top riders of the year. Now the Netherlands are the leading country in kitesurfing! Is that only about the conditions, or because Dutch peoples has got more support by the media and economy ?

I don’t what it is but yeah, for the last years the Dutchies have doing really well! we do get a lot of support but I don’t think this is the main thing, Kevin and Me we both really wanna do this , this is our life and we go a 100% for it!

And you know what they say ‘ it ain’t Dutch it ain’t much”

Boost: Where are you going to train in the winter season this year ?

At the moment I am for 2 months on South Africa and after that maybe some places more.

Boost: What are your plans 2010?

Taking the world championship home! haha

Boost: Kitesurfing is a big part in you life, what are you doing when you’re off the water ?

Trying to do some other sports or just Email al my Sponsors, magazines, forums etc or just have a lot of Fun with friends.

Boost: You’re riding the best products of Slingshot Kiteboarding and Boards of Brunotti. What can you say about the new RPM 2010, what has been changed!

Not much , we where so happy and satisfied about the kite so we just added some small fine-tuning details and that’s it. The Graphics are a little different as well. But what you have to change on a kite that is good :d hahha

Boost: The last question is about your new Boards. It looks great and we showed it in our blog the last weeks. Whats special about it?

The board of 2009 sold really well, I was riding really good as well we some good feeback from lot of people, but I am always looking for the best , so I tried some boards, and we made it a little stiffer and we got some channels in the tips, which gives the board a little les torsion. What results in more pop again. We made some new footstraps as well, super comfortable and the fitting is very nice. If you don’t have one yet, run to the shop before the are sold out  hahahahaha
